Hispanic American History follows the timeline of this proud and ethnically diverse culture. The series starts in Ancient America, tracing the beginnings of the Indian nations in the Americas and their interactions with conquistadors from Spain. From there the series follows the movements, struggles, and successes of Latino people from the 1500s to present day. Important movements are discussed, such as the immigration to different parts of the United States, the impact of wars and revolutions, and the fight for Hispanic civil rights. Biographies on Spanish historical figures, as well as important authors, artists, and powerful leaders are also included.
