Fourth grader Meredith Mercer, known as Meri, comes from a big family. So when her eccentric aunt sends her a mirror for her birthday, Meri assumes it was meant for one of her sisters. Meri is much more interested in books than looks. But her mom excitedly hangs the mirror over her desk. Now, whenever Meri sets a book on her desk, its main character appears in the mirror! The characters help Meri deal with the tough situations she faces: bullies, telling the truth, and peer pressure. Meri's Mirror introduces readers to some of the wonderful, creative characters from classic literature while it helps readers negotiate the social issues common to elementary school children.
