Essential Literary Genres

Essential Literary Genres invites readers to analyze elements and characteristics common in genres. Each book in the series features four analysis papers that consider a book's genre. The analysis papers each consider a different critical lens, writing technique, or aspect of the genre while walking readers through the process of constructing analysis papers.

REVIEW:
This set uses tools that enable students to better understand each major genre. Selected works within each title give students a strong grasp of storytelling, characters, setting, and point of view. This series would be a good asset for secondary schools with literature and Advanced Placement classes as well as book clubs. I would recommend this series for your students and professional libraries. Recommended.
